The Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation (GBGHF) raises funds for Georgian Bay General Hospital because the Ontario government does not pay for equipment for hospitals. They rely on community donations to fund critical equipment and technology so that the physicians and staff can provide the best care.
Our Support During COVID-19 donation was essential in enabling GBGH’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was crucial in restructuring and equipping our hospital. The hospital was faced with $500,000 in extra equipment purchases in order to prepare for the COVID pandemic and our support was very much needed.
Our $15,200 donation was presented to GBGH/GBGHF staff on May 19th, 2020.
